The Master’s program aims to activate the multilingual and intercultural expertise acquired in the pre-Master’s program in various professional environments.
ISIT graduates have a strong general culture, are agile in an international environment, have a solid understanding of intercultural issues, and are able to grasp the complexity of globalized organizations and activities.
The Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication and Translation trains professionals capable of managing multilingual translation and communication projects.

Educational objectives

- Multilingual communication: general and specialised translation, sight translation, CAT, technical writing, terminology, website and software localization, post-editing, liaison interpretation, multilingual professional speaking.
- Internal and external communication: community management, communication plan, web marketing and SEO, multilingual web site and content creation, multilingual project management.

Two possible double degrees in Year 5
- METS- European Mobility in Specialized Translation” Program
Accessible only after a fourth year at ISIT, the METS offers translation students a year to become professional, intercultural translation specialists through a unique program with the quality standards of the 12 METS partners.
- The double degree with the Paris Diderot University:
accessible on selection after a 4th year at ISIT only, this double degree course leads to the Master in Intercultural Communication and Translation (ISIT) and the Master in Language Industry and Specialized Translation (ILTS).

Languages
Our course is open to candidates with an operational linguistic level in their mother tongue and two other working languages: French and English are compulsory, and the third working language can be chosen from among Arabic, Chinese, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian or Spanish.
Possibility of having a 4th operational language among the official languages of ISIT
Degree level
- Admission in year 4 : L3 validée
- Admission in year 5: Master 1 universitaire ou équivalent validé (diplôme français ou étranger en 4 ans reconnu officiellement de niveau 240 ECTS)
WARNING: For the Intercultural Communication and Translation specialization, the M1 or equivalent must be related to translation and multilingual communication.
