Accessibility

ISIT is firmly committed to accessibility and inclusion, both online and on its campuses.

Our inclusive website

A survey by our web agency Hippocampe found that 20% of the French population are affected first-hand, on a temporary or lasting basis, by issues such as physical disabilities, aging, the digital divide, poor network coverage, etc.

This is why we wanted to make our website www.isit-paris.fr accessible to all. Because not everyone experiences the web in the same way, we have striven to make our site as easy to use as possible. We have aimed to make our content readable and inclusive, as well as accessible to dyslexic and partially sighted users.  The site meets the ‘Standard’ requirements of the French government’s digital accessibility framework (RGAA).

Fully accessible campuses

Our campuses, including the classrooms, independent study rooms, cafeteria, library and washrooms, are fully accessible to people with disabilities.

Our main campus in Arcueil, which opened in 2015, was designed to be accessible to people with disabilities from the start. Our Paris campus, slightly older, was modernized and brought into line with accessibility standards in 2019.

We have a designated Disability Officer, who is responsible for:

  • Supporting students throughout their studies
  • Mediating between students and teaching staff
  • Making any necessary adjustments to timetables and assessments
  • Liaising with external bodies such as departmental disability centers

Accessibility also means inclusion. In 2021, at the request of student society Divers’ISIT, gender-neutral toilets were opened at our Arcueil campus.
