A recruitment consultant is a human resources expert who assists companies in the search, selection and integration of new employees. He/she generally works in consulting firms or as a freelancer, acting as an intermediary between employers and candidates

What does a recruitment consultant do?

  • Analyze the needs of the client company: understand the position to be filled, the context and the client’s specific expectations.
  • Write and distribute job offers through the appropriate channels (specialized websites, social networks, press, etc.).
  • Source and actively seek out candidates using databases, professional networks (LinkedIn, etc.) and direct prospection to identify suitable profiles.
  • Select and evaluate candidates: selecting CVs, conducting interviews, carrying out tests and checking references to assess their suitability for the position.
  • Present successful candidates to the company and support the customer in making the final choice.
  • Negotiate terms of employment (salary, benefits, start date) between the candidate and the company.
  • Monitor the candidate’s integration during the trial period to ensure adaptation and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a customer portfolio by prospecting and building customer loyalty.
