Account Manager
School year ISIT 2016
Country France

Can you briefly introduce yourself?

My name is Morgane Bourmault. I studied Law and Multilingual Studies (initially called “International Law”) alongside my law studies at the Jean Monnet Faculty in Sceaux (Paris XI) between 2012 and 2017. I am currently a managing attorney in the Digital & Innovation team at Deloitte Société d’Avocats.

Can you tell us about your academic background leading up to your graduation from ISIT?

After completing my degree in Law and Multilingual Studies, I spent the summer preparing for the CRFPA (bar exam) and took a Master’s 2 in Telecommunications and Space Law with Professor Achilleas at the Jean Monnet Faculty in Sceaux (Paris XI).

After working as a lawyer for several years, I completed my studies with a part-time distance learning LLM (while working as an associate in a law firm): an LLM in TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) at Queen Mary University in London.

In a few sentences, can you summarize the impact that the ISIT Master’s degree has had on your professional and personal life?

My training at ISIT allowed me to maintain a very good level of English after high school and to acquire professional English language skills, particularly by preparing for the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce exam. This training also allowed me to stand out and demonstrated my language skills to recruiters.

Can you describe your career path since graduating?

I first completed several internships as part of my Master’s degree and then at law school. After completing my training at law school, I joined the Agil’IT law firm, where I worked as an associate in the personal data, IT, telecommunications, and cybercrime department for four years. Since 2022, I have been a lawyer and manager at Deloitte Société d’Avocats, where I work on new technology law issues in an international context.

What have been your most notable professional achievements since graduating from ISIT?

I am very proud of my promotion to manager at Deloitte Société d’Avocats. This promotion is a testament to my technical skills in law, as well as to my interpersonal skills and my ability to adapt to the international and highly demanding environment in which Deloitte operates.

What advice would you give to master’s students (for their studies and their start in the profession)?

I would advise them to start thinking about their career plans (even if these may evolve, which is natural) and to make the most of this master’s degree in line with these plans: internships, thesis, networking, etc.
