Presentation

Graduation is based on two years of rigorous teaching, two internships (4 and 6 months), two consulting assignments with partner companies, and a thesis followed by an oral presentation.

CIT graduates have developed their linguistic, writing, IT and digital skills, and know how to combine discipline and curiosity, attention to detail and adaptability – which are all essential qualities for success in managing complex projects.

Objectives

This course trains experts in translation, multilingual communications and international project management, who are prepared for intercultural and digital working environments.

  • Multilingual communication: general and specialized translation, sight translation, CAT, technical writing, terminology, website and software localization, post-editing, liaison interpreting, multilingual professional speaking.
  • Internal and external communication: community management, communication plan, web marketing and SEO, multilingual web site and content creation, multilingual project management.
  • Project management: methodologies and tools.

Requirements and admission

Requirements

  • Master 1: French compulsory (non-native speakers: DELF B2 or equivalent), English + third language (German, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Russian).
  • Master 2: possibility of a mother tongue other than French: English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish. Otherwise, French compulsory (non-native speakers: DELF B2 or equivalent), English + 3rd language (German, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Russian).

Admission

  • Master 1 : Validated L3 (bachelor’s degree)
  • Master 2 : Master 1 or equivalent (240 ECTS).

For direct entry into Master 2, the Master 1 course completed must be linked to translation or mulitlingual communication.

Graduates of this Master’s degree in intercultural communication and translation can work as intercultural communication officers, translators, multilingual copywriters or digital communication officers. Internships and work-study opportunities:Two work-study periods (4 months in M1 and 6 months in M2), plus the opportunity to undertake a work-study program in the second year, increase your chances of finding a first job at the end of your course.
